Here are some travel discounts available for people with cystic fibrosis:
Disabled Coachcard from National Express – save 1/3 on Standard and Fully Flexible fares to hundreds of UK towns, cities and airports. Can be used at peak or off-peak times. The card costs £12.50 +£2.50pp for 1 year of travel and can be purchased here.
Disabled Persons Railcard – save 1/3 on rail fares for you and an adult companion. People with a Disabled Persons Railcard save an average of £91 per year on their train journeys. The cost of the card is £20 for 1 year, or £54 for 3 years. Railcards can be purchased here.
Disabled Persons Bus Pass – Local councils give out free bus passes to people who have a disability that makes it difficult to walk long distances. You can start the process by visiting the Government’s website here.
