In September there will be a very unique event taking place – Ryan Abbott will be attempting to complete a full distance Ironman triathlon only breathing through his nose!
If successful, he will be the first person to ever do this, all while raising funds for CF Care.
The Big Nose Challenge 2022 will be completed in one day on the 11th of September 2022 in the north-west of England.
Ryan will start by swimming the 2.4 mile distance at the three sister’s water ski club in Wigan. He will then cycle along the Leeds to Liverpool canal before joining the road to complete the 112 mile ride. He will finally run 26.2 miles to finish the 140.6 mile big nose challenge challenge in his home town of Wigan.
Ryan’s son Arthur was diagnosed with CF at five weeks old so Ryan understands the challenges and worries that CF can bring to patients and their families.
