We’re excited to launch our second virtual event of 2020, our Virtual Cycle Challenge.

Sign up here to find out more information and get involved.

When does the challenge take place?
1st – 30th June

How does the challenge work?
Set a target distance to cycle in June, either as a club, team, family or individually. The distance itself doesn’t matter (5km or 5000km!), as long as your challenge yourselves we don’t mind. Whatever your ability, it’s the taking part that counts.

Does my challenge have to continue for the whole month?
No, you can complete your challenge in one day, one week or across the month, starting and finishing any day.

How should I track my miles?
Choose any tracking app, Strava, Zwift, for example (even old fashioned pen and paper will do). We recommend joining our Strava group ‘CF Care Cyclists’, join here: www.strava.com/clubs/CFCareCyclists

How can I fundraise?
You can fundraise as a team (family / friends / colleagues /club) or individually by creating your own JustGiving page. Link your JustGiving page to our event here: www.justgiving.com/campaign/CFCareCycleChallenge

How much does it cost to take part?
There will be an entry fee / donation to enter the event (recommended amount £5-15) and then you can start fundraising. If you’re not fundraising, you can simply make donation to enter and nominate friends take part.

How can I share my progress?
We’ll be on social media supporting and helping to inspire one another throughout June! We will be using the hashtags #CFCVirtualchallenge and always tag us in your posts!

What happens when we’ve finished?
Share your photos and completed distance with us either on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook and ensure you use these hashtags: #CFCare #CFCVirtualchallenge. We’ll get a certificate sent out to you.

IMPORTANT: Please remember social distancing, if you go outside this run must be classed as your single daily exercise alone or with someone living with you and do not leave the house if you think you have the virus.

Any questions, email us on contactus@cysticfibrosiscare.org.uk.
