The short ride then returns to Leyburn and Tennants again with wonderful vistas.
The intermediate and elite riders head up Bishopdale for our first major climb over Kidston Pass to descend into beautiful Wharfedale. Quiet country lanes then take the cyclists to the next recognised climb of Fleetmoss. Over the tops and back down to Wensleydale for well deserved break at the next feed station in Gayle/ Hawes
The intermediates then follow an undulating route back to Leyburn with fantastic views in all directions .
The elite riders leave Gayle/Hawes to then climb the famous Buttertubs pass before descending into stunning Swaledale where the route takes them to Reeth before the final recognised strenuous climb of Grinton Moor and Greet Moor. Home to Leyburn via Scarth Nick and Whipperdale Crossroads.
There are scheduled stops with food, Tea/coffee/soft drinks and water included at Thoralby (All courses). Refreshments at Gayle and at the top of Fleet Moss (Elite and Intermediate) and Reeth (Elite).
