Say Thank You Antibiotics –
Cystic Fibrosis Care is proud to share an exciting opportunity for our community to be part of a global awareness campaign highlighting the life-saving power of antibiotics.
The Fleming Initiative – a partnership between Imperial College London and Imperial Healthcare Trust – is running a “Thank You Antibiotics” campaign for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week. On 18 November, selected messages and photos will appear on the giant billboard at Piccadilly Circus, following the success of their Times Square display in New York last year.
They are inviting members of the public to submit a photograph and a few words about how antibiotics have helped them or their families, in one of four categories:
- Safe childbirth
- Safe surgery
- Cancer treatment
- Treatment of infection
For many people with Cystic Fibrosis, antibiotics are a vital part of staying well and fighting infections. This is a wonderful chance to share your story, raise awareness of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and help shine a spotlight on CF at the same time.
➡️ How to Take Part:
