Discontinuation of the I-Neb: A New Challenge for CF Patients.

The I-neb nebuliser device was discontinued by Philips on 26th May 2024. This means that the device will no longer be available to people who do not already have one. It will also impact the maintenance of existing I-neb devices and access to consumables.

This recent discontinuation of the I-Neb nebuliser has left many Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients and their families facing an urgent challenge. For years, the I-Neb provided a portable and efficient way for patients to administer their life-saving medication. With this device no longer available, there is an increasing need for alternatives that can offer similar, if not better, benefits—especially for children and adults with CF who rely on regular inhaled therapies to stay healthy.

At Cystic Fibrosis Care (CF Care), we have stepped up to meet this pressing need by focusing our efforts on funding the Pari eFlow Rapid Nebuliser, a device that has proven to be faster, quieter, and more efficient than older nebuliser models. The eFlow is lightweight and portable, allowing patients to manage their condition while maintaining a more active lifestyle. Crucially, it significantly reduces treatment time—something that can make a world of difference for children who are already spending hours a day on their therapies.

The NHS currently only provides older compressor-style nebulisers, which are bulky, noisy, and less convenient for day-to-day use. This gap in support makes it more critical than ever for CF Care to raise funds and supply the eFlow to those who need it most.

We are calling on our supporters to join our Pari eFlow Challenge.

By raising just £700, your workplace, club, or community can help purchase one of these life-changing nebulisers, directly improving the quality of life for a CF patient.

With the I-Neb no longer available, the need has never been greater. Together, we can ensure that every person with Cystic Fibrosis has access to the tools they need to breathe easier and live more freely.
