Tommy completes the Geordie Man Full Ironman Challenge
A huge congratulations to Tommy Ogden, who took on the gruelling ‘Geordie Man Full Ironman Challenge’ last weekend, completing one of the toughest endurance events around.
Tommy’s challenge involved a 3.8km swim, a 180km bike ride and a 42.2km marathon, making for an incredible 226km of swimming, cycling and running in 12hours, 40minutes and 9 seconds!
And Tommy did exceptionally well, finishing 16th overall in a very competitive field. He was also the youngest competitor taking on the full Ironman challenge, making his achievement even more remarkable.
As well as pushing himself physically and mentally through months of training and an exhausting race day, Tommy took on the challenge to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis Care. His fundraising has raised a fantastic amount for the charity and we are incredibly grateful for the dedication and determination he has shown.
Every mile Tommy completed and every pound he has raised will help CF Care continue to support children, young people and adults living with Cystic Fibrosis, providing practical and financial support where it is needed most.
Thank you, Tommy, for an amazing achievement and for choosing to support Cystic Fibrosis Care. We are incredibly proud to have you on our team!
We would also like to thank everyone who supported Tommy with his fundraising and helped him reach such a fantastic total, which currently stands at over £7,000 including gift aid.
