Team CF Care Raises over £11,500 at the Great North Run
On behalf of everyone at Cystic Fibrosis Care, we want to say a huge Thank you to all who joined Team CF Care for Sunday’s Great North Run. Your amazing support and fundraising have made a real difference.
We’re thrilled to share that together, the team has raised around £11,500 (including Gift Aid) so far – an incredible achievement that will help us continue supporting people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families.
Although the CF Care Great North Run team isn’t in a race, a special mention goes to James Meysey-Thompson, our fastest runner with a time of 1 hour 42 minutes, closely followed by Carl Heard at 1 hour 50 minutes, according to the Great Run app.
Also special thanks and a huge well done to Hetty Clark for completing the mini run on Saturday, pictured here with dad Chris.
Congratulations to everyone who took part – each of you has achieved something amazing! We are so proud of the 22 runners who made it to the finish line. While 25 had registered with Team CF Care this year, sadly three were unable to run due to illness or injury – but we hope to see them back in 2026.
We are already taking names for next year’s Great North Run on Sunday 13th September 2026. If you’d like to join us again – or know friends, family, or running club members who might be interested – please spread the word and get in touch.
Finally, we’ve shared a selection of photos from the day below – we hope they bring back happy memories of a fantastic event.
