Creon Shortage Update
Cystic Fibrosis Care are aware of a continuing shortage of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT), including Creon 10,000 and 25,000 capsules, which are expected to remain in limited supply until 2026.
Around 80–90% of people with Cystic Fibrosis rely on PERT to properly digest food and absorb nutrients. Enzyme capsules must be taken every time food is eaten, with doses carefully adjusted to match the amount and type of food consumed.
These enzymes are vital for maintaining health and preventing malnutrition. If you or your child are affected and have any concerns, please contact your CF team for advice and support.
