CF Care Privacy Policy for our Website

All information that we hold concerning you as an individual will be held and processed by Cystic Fibrosis Care strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protections Acts 1998 and Electronic Communications 2003 (EC Directive). Such Data will be used by our Organisation to administer our relationship with you as a valued supporter and to provide you with information about the CF Care activities, events and news.

Personal Information:

The CF Care collects details provided by you for the purpose of making donations, subscribing to our newsletter, sponsoring someone taking part in an event and making a direct debit. All relevant information will be stored on a computerised database system which can only be administered by Cystic Fibrosis Care staff. Use of Information:

Cystic Fibrosis Care will use your collected information to contact you regarding relevant information and news updates regarding the association and its activities. We will contact you by the information you provided upon signing up to CF Care.

We will not, without your consent, supply your name and addresses to any third party except where (1) such transfer is a necessary part of the activities that we undertake, or (2) we are required to do so by operation of law. Transfers to 3rd parties will only be undertaken for the purposes of our mail-outs and will be done in a strict and controlled manner.

Website Information:

When you are on the website and are asked for personal information, you are sharing that information with Cystic Fibrosis Care alone, unless stated otherwise. For online donations and registration details for an event, information is stored for the purpose of issuing a receipt. Additional information will only be sent if requested when filling out the online payment form.

Sensitive Credit/Debit Card Information:

All credit and debit card transactions that take place on your behalf by PayPal with secure server software. The software protects credit/debit card information and prevents anyone obtaining access to your credit information when you are processing your transaction.  Cystic Fibrosis Care do not keep your payment card information on record.

Right to Information:

As an individual, you have a right under the Data Protection Acts to obtain information from us, including a description of the data that we hold relating to you, and to have any inaccurate information rectified.
